Rapanui Bariloche

Mitre 202, San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro

This location marked the founding of Rapanui and gave the brand its Argentine Patagonia origins.

It is the largest and most complex of all locations given its program, which includes a buffet, pastry shop, and ice skating rink as well as chocolate, ice cream and café sectors. After having designed all other Rapanui locations, PilottoSanguinetti performed an intervention on the existing location to align it with the new image consolidated in Buenos Aires.

To integrate the skating rink, an enclosure made of wood spindles was applied to allow views of the rink from the surrounding areas which were equipped for additional seating.

The ice cream and café sectors were removed from their place next to the chocolate sector; this provided brand hierarchy and revitalization to the core of the brand: Rapanui chocolates.

At the urban level, a custom-designed arcade will be built along Mitre Avenue, one of the main arteries in this commercial district of Bariloche. The town is known for its arcades which are both necessary and associated with Bariloche’s glorious past and the work of architect Alejandro Bustillo.

The pastry shop sector was not altered. The transformation and adaptation of the Patagonian locations to the new brand image continued with the Rapanui Cerro Catedral and Bariloche airport stores.
