With the arrival of the first Rapanui location in Buenos Aires, the store on Arenales street, came the strategy for developing new locations in the city - a search for houses of a specific typology and historic value that made them neighborhood landmarks.

Buenos Aires features houses of great architectural value that are no longer used as private residences. It was this typology Rapanui sought out and transformed while preserving each house’s identity. Thus, a historic home, now open to the public, provides the stage setting for people to get together. The functional program of Rapanui is basically the same across all locations; however, the possibility of expressing the intangible is closely linked to each house. We work with what is already present on the site; by enhancing it, we showcase the brand.

Each house has a distinct architectural typology, and many of them are listed under the Register of Historic Places.
